June 9, 2022 — Learning By Design magazine (LBD) and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) announce the winners of the 2022 SCUP Excellence Awards. The SCUP Excellence Awards honor achievement in strategic, integrated planning that results in exemplary buildings and grounds, institutional success, and careers that inspire. The award program is a juried competition open to professional service providers and institutions that have prepared designs or plans for two-year and four-year colleges, universities, academic medical and research centers, and public or private institutions.
Learning By Design magazine is thrilled to enable the timely publication in its June (Summer) 2022 edition containing the winning Juror’s Choice, Merit, and Honor awarded entries in the three main awards categories of Planning, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture.
In total 23 top awarded projects are showcased in the June 2022 (Summer) edition of Learning By Design with distribution to over 50,000 professionals working to improve educational spaces of all types. The awards inspire education leadership to emulate quality planning and design practices and theories on their own campus enabling their institutions to meet the needs of todays and future students, faculty, and the communities they embody.
