Product Innovation Awards

Entry Deadline: September 12, 2025 
Presentation Deadline: October 3, 2025

Manufacturers and distributors planning to exhibit at and/or sponsor at EDspaces 2025 (Columbus, Ohio - November 5-7) are invited to enter new sales-ready products that are: innovative; demonstrate rigor in design for education environments; are appropriate for the age of learner; are for specific settings and/or activities; are based on research and customer collaboration; have a level of certification; augment learning and/or space utilization; improve the social, emotional, and cognitive well-being of students, staff and community; and are sustainable and aesthetically pleasing. 

Products must be market-ready (sorry, no prototypes), with an introduction date after October 2024 and deliverable by the end of the first quarter of 2026.

Product Innovation Awards Process: 

  • An elite jury of industry professionals will review and virtually evaluate all submittals and determine which top-scoring products will move to the EDspaces on-exhibit hall floor "Finalist" round. Companies with product entries chosen as Finalist, will be notified in advance of the the convention, and must have a representative available to “live pitch” their product to jurors at their EDspaces booth just after exhibit set-up on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 starting at 5pm. 

  • All finalist are required to attend the Product Innovation Awards Presentation (Held at the start of the EDspaces Opening Plenary Session with Keynote, Wednesday, November 5th at 9:15 am) where chosen by the jurors from the pool of Finalist, three (3) top Product Innovation Awards winners (Best in Show; 2nd Place, 3rd Place), award product and company recipients will be revealed, accolades enumerated from stage to the audience, highlighted by product video, and each product design teams will be called to stage and presented their designated trophy.

  • A printed 2025 Learning By Design - EDspaces Product Innovation Awards attendee hand-out, featuring all the submitted awards products will be distributed from the EDspaces Registration / Badge Pick-up Counters. Every submitted product will be showcased with its product photo, a description, EDspaces booth number, and company website address. Being included in the brochure will enhance your exposure to attendees and help them find your company on the exhibit hall floor.   

  • All entered products will be included in two post-show 35K+ distributed email campaigns, and featured on the Learning By Design Magazine website for six months and in the EDspaces 

  • Upon entry participants will receive instructions and a template for preparing their product presentation. Submissions will include photos, product descriptions, and responses to Q&A.

  • We also strongly encourage a video clip, up to 2 minutes in length, to be included within each presentation to assist jurors in understanding the product use, assembly, purpose, etc. If chosen by the jury as a top three award winning product, your video will be played to all in attendance at Opening Plenary Session with Keynote.
