LAKE MILLS, WISCONSIN — May 9, 2019 Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) and the Lake Mills Area School District are pleased to announce the start of construction at Lake Mills High School on Thursday, May 9, 2019. To accommodate growth in the area, EUA was selected by the Lake Mills School District to design the addition and renovation, increasing capacity by expanding academic and program space at the high school. Projects include:
- A 10,500 sq ft academic addition and 20,000 sq ft renovation including the addition of six classrooms, a library renovation, fitness center renovation, as well as renovations to the Family and Consumer Science (Home Economics), Technical Education (Shop) and Agricultural Education classrooms.
- Improvements and construction of a new multi-purpose outdoor facility.
The event serves as a milestone for the School District following a successful November 2018 referendum. District administration, staff, students as well as representatives from EUA, Kapur Engineering and Miron Construction Co. Inc. were on hand as students and staff turned over the first shovelful of dirt.
“We are so grateful to the community for their ongoing support of our school district,” said Dr. Rick Mason, LMASD School Board President. “My hope is that citizens, parents, and community members will join us in celebrating the start of these expansions and improvements at Lake Mills High School.”
