It is with great pleasure that Di Cara | Rubino Architects announces the promotion of three members of our project management staff to the position of Principal. "We are extremely proud to announce that Allen Barnett, AIA, LEED AP, Allison , AIA, NCARB and Rodney Watkins, AIA have all been promoted to the position of Principal at Di Cara | Rubino Architects,” says founding Principal Jerry Rubino. "Both Joe Di Cara and I are confident that the three of them will continue to provide outstanding service to our current and future clients. Their advancement within the firm reflects their dedication, talent and technical skills, as well as the relationships that they have forged as they worked closely with all of our clients.”
Allen Barnett, AIA, LEED AP possesses nearly 30 years of experience in the design and project management of a wide range of building types. He joined Di Cara | Rubino as a Senior Project Manager in 2008, working collaboratively with clients on the planning and coordination of projects ranging from renovations to adaptive building reuse and new construction. As Principal, Allen will use that experience to lead our design teams from project conception to completion. Allen excels at maintaining professional and honest client rapport, ultimately leading to long-lasting business relationships.
Allison Sroka, AIA, NCARB joined Di Cara | Rubino Architects in 2009 as a Staff Architect. Since that time, she has utilized her in-depth knowledge of complex design methodologies and outstanding client relationship building skills to advance her career first to the role of Project Manager, and now to Principal. Allison is extremely detail-oriented and seamlessly coordinates design concepts and drawings with our project teams and outside consultants, as well as with our interiors department. Her enthusiasm, client-focused approach, industry experience, and ability to see the big picture are invaluable assets to the firm.
Roderick Watkins, AIA joined Di Cara | Rubino Architects in 2001, and has since helped to design and oversee many of the firm’s flagship projects. Through his work on numerous school referendums, countless facility improvement and construction projects, and Long-Range Facility Plans, he has acquired a great deal of expertise in the academic facility design and construction process. As Principal, Rodney will continue to help clients visualize their project during the conceptual phase and present unique yet practical design ideas and an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and practices
Mr. Barnett, Ms. Sroka and Mr. Watkins will join current firm Principals Jerry Rubino, AIA and Joseph Di Cara, AIA in their new leadership roles effective October 1, 2021. They will continue to provide guidance and oversight on all of their respective projects, both current and future.
