Building New Orleans - Then and Now Dialogues on the past and future of Crescent City Architecture

New Orleans architects discuss the influence on their work. The Preservation Resource Center produced a six-part virtual series featuring discussions with New Orleans based designers focused on local architecture and the influence it may have on their work. They discussed adaptive reuse and new construction in historic districts. They asked if there is a New Orleans style, and if so, the impact of New Orleans architecture on the greater world of design.

Steven Bingler, Founder and CEO of Concordia, joined architects Shelby Shankle, John Campo, Jennie West, Andrew Liles, Ashley King, and Alec Adamick in this series, moderated by PRC Policy Research Director and Advocacy Coordinator Nathan Lott.

The Preservation Resource Center preserves New Orleans’ historic architecture, neighborhoods and cultural identity through collaboration, empowerment, and service to our community.

Preservation in Print, the PRC’s magazine, has been published nine times per year since 1975. It is the exclusive publication covering architectural preservation and neighborhood revitalization in Louisiana.
